Varicose veins may first be thought of as a cosmetic concern, but they can also lead to discomfort, swelling, and fatigue in the legs — all of which can have a significantly adverse impact on quality of life. For patients seeking an effective, minimally invasive solution to treat varicose veins without surgery, endovenous vein ablation offers a safe and efficient option.

At Vitality Vein Care, our experienced providers offer state-of-the-art endovenous ablation treatments to help patients near Prosper, Celina, and Frisco, TX achieve relief from varicose vein symptoms and improve vein health overall.

How does endovenous ablation work for varicose veins?

Endovenous ablation is a radiofrequency (RF) treatment that targets problematic varicose veins by sealing them from circulation. Using ultrasound guidance, a small catheter is inserted into the affected vein, where controlled RF energy heats and closes the vein. Over time, the body naturally absorbs the treated vein, and blood is rerouted to healthier veins.

This outpatient procedure typically takes 45 – 60 minutes and is performed using local anesthesia to ensure patient comfort and added convenience. Following treatment, patients can return home the same day and resume normal activities with minimal downtime.

Who is a good candidate for endovenous ablation?

While each patient will be thoroughly assessed to determine eligibility for endovenous varicose vein ablation, the treatment is generally considered appropriate for patients who experience varicose vein symptoms that interfere with daily activities. Candidates for endovenous ablation often include those who:

  • Experience leg pain, swelling, or a heavy feeling in the lower legs
  • Have visible varicose veins that worsen over time
  • Have tried compression stockings or other conservative treatments with little success
  • Want a nonsurgical varicose vein treatment solution to improve both vein health and appearance

A consultation with one of our providers at Vitality Vein Care will determine whether endovenous ablation is the right treatment based on medical history, symptoms of varicose veins, and other individual factors.

Why would I get endovenous ablation vs. surgery for varicose veins?

Endovenous ablation is a preferred treatment for varicose veins for many patients due to its minimally invasive nature and high success rate. Some of the most notable benefits of varicose vein endovenous ablation include:

  • Effective symptom relief from aching, heaviness, and swelling
  • No surgical incisions or scarring
  • Quick recovery with minimal downtime
  • Long-lasting results, as the treated veins do not return
  • Improved circulation and overall vein health

For many patients, the cosmetic improvements are just as significant as the physical relief from varicose vein pain, allowing them to feel more confident wearing shorts, skirts, or swimsuits. With both aesthetic enhancements and pain relief without the downsides of surgery and other treatments, endovenous vein ablation can help boost confidence and quality of life overall.

As a board-certified, family practice physician, and a patient of Vitality Vein Care, although I live just over two hours away from this facility, I have still referred many patients to them, because they are worth the drive. I believe they provide the best of care to their patients, and with each patient I have sent, I continue to receive wonderful feedback regarding their experiences with Vitality Vein Care. I have consistently seen good outcomes, and some seem nearly miraculous, so, if anyone is hesitating for an evaluation, I believe they’re worth at least the first visit, and to receive the education they have regarding the condition that they find.

She spent time explaining all aspects of my condition, treatment plan and the go forward for my journey. Her empathy and caring approach settled my concerns & anxiousness. She's a gentle, joy filled soul.Dr. Hart was also great! He reassured me throughout the procedure and also calmed any concerns that I had. Very upbeat and friendly. The office staff have also been great! This experience by far exceeds a former experience years prior with a practice in Frisco. I look forward to the pathway ahead. Thank YOU Vitality Vein.

My initial appointment with Vitality Vein was very informative. Stephanie (NP) was friendly and professional. She explained the treatments that I needed very well and she was able to calm my fears about the effectiveness of vein treatments. I have scheduled my first treatment for later in the week. I have confidence that the different treatments will help my neuropathy and varicose veins in my legs, ankles, and feet which have recently increased so much thateven the pain prescriptions have not been alleviated in the last few months. I will try to follow up here as the different stages of treatments progress.
